The Lawler File

An investigation you don't have to trust.

This is a fully-sourced investigation into who funds and directs Rep. Mike Lawler (NY-17), built entirely from his own public records. Every claim links to a primary source you can check yourself. Here is what's here and where to start.

Built from FEC filings, House roll calls and disclosures, DOJ FARA, state records, and the Internet Archive. Nothing here alleges a crime; where money and votes align, it is shown as documented chronology, not proof of an exchange.

Every file we used, named and in the open.

An investigation is only as good as the records under it. This is the full chain: the primary documents we pulled, the raw data behind them, the datasets we built, and the research passes that turned them into findings. The same files that produced every claim on this site.

How to read this. The chain runs top to bottom: primary public records, the raw data pulled from them, the datasets built from that, the research workflows that mined the data, and the published artifacts you can read. Every external source link in the dossier is also preserved in the Internet Archive, and the whole corpus is queryable at /api/mcp.
